The Oklahoma Gerontological Nursing Association (OGNA), a non-profit organization and a chapter of the National Gerontological Nursing Association (NGNA; www.ngna.org.) will hold a one-day Conference on Best Care Practices in Long Term Care on Wednesday, April 20 at the Metro Technology Business Conference Center, 1900 Springlake Drive, Oklahoma City. Registration starts at 8 a.m.

| Kids' ATV Injuries Rising |

Close to 5,300 Americans under the age of 18 were hospitalized with ATV injuries between 1997 and 2000 -- an increase of 79.1 percent during that time period, said study author Dr. Mary Aitken, an associate professor of pediatrics at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Medicine and a staff physician at the Arkansas Children's Hospital, in Little Rock.
