Mathy Mezey, EdD, RN is First Nurse to Receive the American Geriatrics Society's Nascher/Manning Award for Achievement in Clinical Geriatrics

For her teaching, leadership, and life-long achievement in clinical geriatrics, the American Geriatrics Society (AGS) presented Mathy Mezey, EdD, RN, with the Nascher-Manning Award, May 14 at the Society's Annual Scientific Meeting in Orlando. Dr. Mezey, Professor Emerita, Senior Research Scientist and Director of the Hartford Institute of Geriatric Nursing at New York University's College of Nursing, in New York, is the first nurse to receive the award.
